Living in Vienna/Austria, Astrid Schramek is a dedicated documentary photography (“street photography”) to simply show what’s going on. Is it the same as hundreds of years ago? External environments may change, and fashions pass: but everyday life is always the same. It’s like a standstill of time. It is this continuum of everyday life, Astrid wants to record in her pictures. To capture street impressions she works both with film and digital cameras, mainly with small cameras like Leica M7 and Fuji X100: to her the optimal condition to move freely and mostly unseen in the streets.
