Martina Biccheri was born in Rome in 1987, attends the Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication ISFCI in Rome where she obtains her Diploma. She takes part to art shows worldwide, teaches photography in American Universities and sells her photograph to international art collectors (Italy, US, Luxembourg). In 2013 she won a Visual Identity Masterclass scholarship in Padua and was winner of the Architecture category at Sony World Photography Awards 2013, her work has been selected from 48,184 images entered from 160 countries. Later that year she was also shortlisted at the “Professional Photographer of the year” awards in the Medium Format category, this contest has seen 66.000 submissions from 60 countries. In six months her awarded photograph make its way in three european museums:
MACRO in Rome (Italy’s most visited museum), International House of Photography in Bratislava and Somerset House in London. In late 2013 Martina’s work will serve as cover picture in a new and limited edition Moleskine.
