Feature #135 Imsouchivy Suos “Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is.”

Imsouchivy Suos (aka G.V.) is a 20-year-old international college student from Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
He left home and started his self exploration journey back in 2009.
Imsouchivy has started as an international student in an international school called UWC in Hong Kong for two years, where he picked up his first digital point and shoot camera to capture/document people and culture that he has encountered through his journey. By getting feedback from friends and Facebook peer, he later on picked up a DSLR and has done some more research, self-taught with more serious shooting. During the past two years, Imsouchivy has been traveling to more than ten countries for his research and projects and of course he would not forget to take pictures along the way. After he graduated in Hong Kong, he moved to a small college called Luther College in Mid-Western, USA. At his college, he had part time job as a freelance photographer and has done multiple types of photography even though his soul and passion are still with street photography. Imsouchivy loves street-photography as it keeps him fit as well as increasing his self-confidence by interacting with the subjects. Imsouchivy shoots exclusively color even though he loves black and white photos that were done by masters like Henri Cartier-Bresson. He believes that god gives us color and not black and white vision for a reason.
