Manchester born Claire Atkinson developed an interest in photography as a 16 year old whilst taking family snapshots of scenic cliffs in Cornwall, Southern England. Shortly after, she discovered the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson when she joined a Photography diploma course and began documenting the streets of Northern England, also learning to use a darkroom. It is safe to say she never looked back and went onto specialise in street photography. She has since completed a degree in Photography and now works as a Freelance artist/photographer in Manchester and London.
