R R Roy is a guy with a camera who strolls the streets of India with a pre-focused DSLR trying to capture situations that exist for a moment. He is particularly obsessed for those moments that do not allow him more than a split second to react.
R R Roy was introduced to photography 20 years ago when he enrolled on a 3 year diploma course in photography at the institute of Kolkata, India. The institute focused mainly on pictorial photography and studio portraits and as a result, R R Roy shot landscapes and portraits for 15 years.
In 2007, R R Roy started shooting the streets (being tired of landscapes and studio work), his profession involves traveling but he prefers to shoot only in his home town Kolkata and a few other Indian cities because he feels that a photographer should have a good understanding of their own society and its people in which they photograph.
R R Roy uses a Nikon D90 with Nikkor 24mm f2.8, he crops to improve his images but does very little processing.
